Water Fitness Classes
Member prices are for all Big Vanilla members. Classes subject to change without notice. Lost punch passes cannot be replaced. Many of the classes will accommodate a variety of fitness levels. Contact the Aquatics Director for more information.
Aquatic Class Rates
Single Class: $6 members / $8 non-members
H2O Aerobics
This is a full body workout that introduces a safe and fun way to use water as one big resistance machine. Anything goes in this class. Options include weights, noodles, cardiovascular intervals, deep water conditioning, hydro-tone, and step. Come get a good workout without taking a pounding.
Aqua Arthritis $
Taught by an Arthritis Foundation certified instructor. Promotes range of motion and flexibility for anyone who has been diagnosed with arthritis or routinely experiences joint pain, stiffness, and/or limited range of motion. Classes are conducted in our warm water indoor pool. The ability to swim is not required.
Ai Chi $
Taken from Tai Chi, Ai Chi coordinates diaphragmatic breathing with slow movements to integrate mind and body.
Splash Zone
A high energy shallow water workout that tones muscles and builds cardio fitness.
Aqua Rock
A high energy and fun aerobic workout.
Aqua Sculpt
A high energy, deep water class that builds muscles and cardio fitness with minimal joint impact.
Aqua Yoga/Pilates $
15-minute low impact aerobics followed by traditional poses from yoga and pilates in a water environment.
Masters Workout $
Adult swimmers (19 years and older) receive professional coaching to improve technique, endurance and speed in all four competitive strokes. Structured workouts will challenge a variety of skill levels. Participants should be able to complete 25 yards of front crawl (freestyle) without stopping.
Tri Swim I - Great for Beginning Lap Swimmers $
Ages: 13 years and older
Tri Swim II $
Ages: 13 years and older
Junior Gym and Swim
30 minutes of climbing, exploring while working on coordination, flexibility, strength and cardio conditioning. Then 30 minutes of splash time and cardio in the pool. Classes begin in the Kids Fitness Center; participants must be dressed in swim suits.
Water Sports Jam $
Former NCAA Water Polo Player Brent Humphries teaches water polo skills and leads other water games. Parents can workout while kids learn ball-handling skills, play water basketball, intertube water polo and other games. Get great exercise, learn new skills, and have lots of fun!
