Rock Wall and Beyond
Rock climbing is an excellent choice of an alternate form of exercise and activity for kids who are looking for something different! This 2-day series is a unique experience for kids who will be challenged physically and mentally. With a focus on indoor rock climbing, additional physical and mental challenges will be introduced through a variety of fitness activities, games, and group challenges. Help your child gain better problem-solving skills, gain more confidence, increase their self-esteem, and strengthen their team-building skills. This class will really give children something new to talk about at the dinner table! All climbing gear is provided with the exception of climbing shoes. Sneakers and gym attire required. Bottled water recommended.
Rockin’ Together: Women Rock for Mothers and Daughters
Moms and daughters are busy. Finding quality time to connect can be a challenge. Instead of the usual shopping and dining routine, try a unique, exciting and physical way to connect with each other in addition to other mother/daughter teams. Rockin' Together combines the skills of Executive Coach & MSW Suzette Langley and one of Big Vanilla’s trained female Rock Wall Instructors to provide an evening of fun that encourages the discovery of mental and physical strength, conquering fears, and overcoming challenges. Mothers and daughters will see each other in a new light and learn how the Rock Wall is a metaphor for life and life’s challenges. All climbing gear is provided with the exception of climbing shoes. Sneakers and gym attire required. Bottled water recommended.
Cliff Hanging with Dad: A Rock Climbing Adventure for Fathers and Sons
Fathers and sons are busy and often have little time for “just the guys”. Instead of the usual routine of video games and eating out, try a unique, exciting, and physical way to connect with each another in addition to other father/son teams. Cliff Hanging with Dad combines indoor rock climbing along with other challenging activities for an evening of fun that encourages the discovery of mental and physical strength, conquering fears, and overcoming challenges. Fathers and sons will create new memories that last a lifetime in this one-of-a-kind program! All climbing gear is provided with the exception of climbing shoes. Sneakers and gym attire required. Bottled water recommended. Fee includes optional belay certification for the parent to allow for manually belaying your own child – this will really enhance this experience! Belay certification class and test must be complete in advance. Classes are available every Monday night from 7:00-10:00 p.m.
Private Rock Climbing Lessons
Are you or someone you know a novice climber looking for more in-depth climbing instruction? Private lessons will give you the ability to work one-on-one with an instructor to gain knowledge of various techniques to reach your climbing goals. Climbing shoes are not required but recommended. Harness and helmet provided.
